Monkey's Fancy Nancy Room

We have been in love with the book, "Fancy Nancy" since it first arrived on the scene when Amandine was still in diapers. She is the cutest little fancy child, the perfect example of how my own little princess acts. I am not exaggerating either. Put a curly headed wig on my kid, and Fancy Nancy has come to life.

Now, after months of painting, and looking, we have found the accessories to complete one more room project...

Drumroll please...

At our local Jo-Anns, they have started to carry Fancy Nancy Themed material, everything from basic cotton, fleece, silky pj material, and flannel. We had thought we would would make the curtains, and the bedspread, BUT when I happened to find a set on Kohls.com, on sale (1/2 off), plus free shipping, we went ahead and saved me a weekend or three in creating the look. The only things missing i have been told, is a super soft, shaggy pink rug (for reading and planning purposes), her canopy bed frame (which she will not get because of her overhead fan, but will get a basic bed frame come spring) and a vanity table, oh and I can't forget, that when I get the bedframe sanded and painted, that the bedside table simply must be reworked. Overall she gave me 3 stars, 4 upon completion...

I didn't know i was going to judged.

I am glad I didn't show her the leopard print set, I might have only gotten 2 Stars for my review!
